This is a rare and limited opportunity to acquire an exclusive three-coin set of New Orleans Mint coins. These Civil War-era Liberty Seated half dollars are unique among all American silver coins, having been certified by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as struck under the flags of three different governments: the United States, the State of Louisiana, and finally the Confederate States of America.
For the first time ever, extensive study and examination has allowed NGC to certify the issuing authority of each SS
Republic New Orleans Mint coin as minted by the United States, State of Louisiana or the Confederate States of America. Included is an 1860-O Liberty Seated half dollar minted before Louisiana seceded from the United States, in addition to the State of Louisiana and Confederate States of America issue 1861-O Liberty Seated half dollars. Combining these three coins creates a historical New Orleans Mint three government set.
Each coin is individually numbered and encapsulated with a special label bearing the flag of the issuing authority.
